Impax Asset Management invests in mainstream commercial property in UK city centres and works in partnership with the tenants to improve resource efficiency credentials with the aim of reducing, operating costs and mitigating regulatory risk to the benefit of all stakeholders.

40 Spring Gardens has a BREEAM rating of “very good” and a 2015 EPC of C. Impax Asset Management actively seeks to improve the environmental performance of the building in close collaboration with all the occupiers of the building. Metering has been installed throughout the building enabling the landlords and occupiers to monitor the energy, water and carbon consumption on a half hourly basis. This information is displayed on an LED screen in the building reception.

The building is managed to accredited ISO14001 environmental standards.

ON YOUR BIKE

It is fitting in Manchester, the home of British Cycling, that the Landlord actively encourages low carbon means of transport. 40 Spring Gardens was the 2011 silver award winner of the Green Apple awards hosted at the House of Commons. The award was made for our bicycle initiative which allows any occupant of 40 Spring Gardens to borrow one of our four bicycles to take out to make deliveries, lunchtime cycle rides or to take out on a short term loan. As well as the bicycles we have 6 cycle helmets of various sizes, locks, lights and high visibility vests. The bicycles are maintained and serviced by a local bicycle shop every 6 months.

There are up to 40 cycling spaces with associated storage facilities available in the basement at 40 Spring Gardens.
